Since my review I have added an LDG IT-100 Automatic Antenna Tuner to my IC-7300 and the antenna will tune on all bands except 80M.

750v Antenna
I've had the antenna for a couple of weeks now. It's mounted on a 10' mast that is mounted on a 5' tripod in my backyard. So the antenna is roughly 12' off the ground. Assembling the antenna is pretty straight forward. The directions are in Japanese with a few diagrams. I've seen worst instructions. The antenna is bigger in person than the pictures indicate. It's a two person job in a tight area. All the pieces fit together perfectly. Some of the pieces are very sharp so watch yourself. The antenna is held together with nuts and bolts with lock washers. They send along rivets to use instead of the bolts which would be best to use if the antenna is going to be mounted full-time. The antenna performs really well for how modestly I have erected. I'm having great success on FT-8. The 40m part of the antenna is very narrow banded. You can adjust it by drilling some extra holes in the 40m element. So you have to decide where you want to be on 40. The antenna will tune up outside of the tuned frequencies on 40m but not too far. The rest of the bands are more forgiving. I would recommend this antenna. The nuts and bolts which hold the elements together are the only weak spot I can see. If I was putting it up on a tower I would use the rivets and red Lock tight on any screws/nuts. The reason I don't give this antenna 5 stars is because the instructions are in Japanese and I had supply my own mount for the balun. 73 VA3BJD
