VGC BHM-79 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker Microphone

The VGC BHM-88 is a remote Bluetooth® speaker microphone designed for wireless operation with VGC N-Series radios, selected Icom radios and Yaesu FTX-1. It adds a bright 1.44-inch LCD display, USB-C charging, and a removable belt clip so you can keep it secure and close at hand.

***The latest firmware adds full compatibility with ICOM IC-705 radios.

***If you need to use the device with N-series radios afterward, remember to disable ICOM Mode first.

The VERO VGC BHM-88 is a high-quality, remote-operated Bluetooth speaker microphone for the VERO N-Series. It provides a reliable wireless connection, an integrated display, and numerous convenience features for mobile radio operation.

Thanks to the latest firmware, the BHM-88 is now fully compatible with the Icom IC-705.
Note: If the microphone is later used again with N-Series radios, the ICOM mode must be disabled beforehand.

The rugged housing integrates a powerful speaker, a clearly readable 1.44-inch LCD display, as well as GPS and an electronic compass. This makes the BHM-88 ideal for outdoor activities, operations requiring positional data, or portable radio use.

A 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery ensures long operating times, and charging is easily handled via USB-C. The removable belt clip allows flexible carrying options, while the robust design remains compact and lightweight.

The Bluetooth module operates in the 2.4–2.485 GHz ISM band with an effective range of up to 10 meters. Weight and dimensions make the microphone comfortable to handle — perfect for daily use on a belt, backpack, or in a vehicle.
